Have you ever wanted to serve sushi or other delicious item at a party but worried about how to keep it cold for the entire meal? This clever serving set by Menu solves the problem neatly.
The three-piece set includes a porcelain platter, melamine lower tray and a stay-cool gel pad that you freeze. Place the cooling gel pad in the melamine tray and then top with the porcelain platter. Your sushi, oysters, fruit or cold-cut platter will stay at the perfect temperature for the entire meal. Of course, the porcelain platter is great on its own for everyday use as well. As is the melamine tray.

When Sandy Chilewich showed us her nifty new iphone case at the Maison Objet show in Paris, we were a little jealous. Then she said it wouldn’t be available for us to sell. Huh? Deep envy and a teeny tiny touch of harrumph.
Finally, after a long wait (at least to us it seemed long), we are able to offer the Chilewich iphone cases! They come in two colors: light grey or gravel.
Fits any iphone 3G or iphone 3GS. Big happy smile!

Outdoor lighting can be a bit of a pain. Who wants to run electrical lines? Plus, I’m always changing my mind about how I want things to be arranged.
These solar string lights are my saving grace! The glass globes are darling. The fact that they are solar means that they’re energy-saving so I can enjoy them all year long. The best part is that the solar panel can be placed up to 15 feet from the lights, so you can feel free to hang them under a patio cover, in a tree or just about anywhere you want a little sparkle.
Each string contains six lights with high-powered LED bulbs. The light string is 22 feet long.
Equipped with a photo light sensor, the lights will turn themselves on at dusk and off at dawn. Totally sustainable, hang beautiful Aurora Glow string lights once and enjoy their artisan glow every night!
Apparently Martha Stewart thinks they’re pretty great too because they were featured in the March issue of Martha Stewart Living.

We’re so excited about this new collection by Harbour Outdoor. The style is sleek. It’s super well made from rust-proof powder-coated aluminum. The table top and bench seats are made from an outdoor laminate that’s scratch resistant and practically maintenance free. The dining chairs have comfortable sling seats. A new bar-height table is in the works as well.
Harbour Outdoor is from Sydney, Australia. It was founded by two brothers, Harrison and Nicholas Condos, who grew up around their father’s furniture business. Clearly, designing great furniture runs in the family.
Swing by the store to see it in person.

Spencer Peterman is a master craftsman. He creates these incredible salad bowls in his workshop in Massachusetts. First, he goes on the lookout for fallen trees rotting in the woods. His favorite are those trees that are covered by moss and dirt. In those trees, is wood disfigured by the beginnings of decomposition. When he turns that wood on a lathe, the result is a strikingly unique bowl.
Each bowl is kiln dried to 6% moisture to stabilize the wood and prevent future checking and cracking. They have a food-safe oil finish to bring out the beauty of the wood.

These days it’s great to find a solution to make entertaining a little easier. We fell in love with Bella Cucina Artful Food. Everything is hand-made in small batches from high-quality ingredients in the true artisan tradition.
The artichoke pesto is fabulous and a best-seller. Use it in a warm artichoke dip (recipe on the jar), to top pasta, as a bruschetta topping.
For a delicious brunch idea, top a poached egg with the Spinach Artichoke Bruschetta Spread. Or try adding it to an omelette or scrambled eggs.
Bella Cucina also makes a thoughtful hostess gift.
